I chose to study MechSE because I enjoy solving problems and challenging myself. From ADM in the food science industry to FCA in the automotive industry, mechanical engineers are needed in all different capacities in varying disciplines. Illinois offers many supportive resources for students to prepare them for success in their careers – from peer academic support (CARE) to Engineering Career Services, which offers resume reviews and mock interviews to help prepare students for job fairs. In the future, I want to work in the energy industry implementing renewables and eliminating waste in facilities. I have a passion for gearing technology to become more sustainable to the environment.
