Nadya Mason

Professor Nadya Mason shares her passion for physics with students by lecturing various topics including electricity & magnetism and quantum theory. She made the List of Teachers Ranked Excellent by their Students twice and was ranked an outstanding teacher for Spring 2011.

Mason received her Ph.D. in physics from Stanford University before coming to teach at Illinois. Her lab, Mason Group, does research in nanoscale and mesoscopic systems such as nanostructured superconductors.

She has received numerous awards including the Maria Goeppert Mayer Award, which is given annually to recognize and promote the outstanding achievements of a woman physicist early on in her career.
