I chose Industrial Engineering (IE) because it weaves together many different disciplines, including traditional engineering, business, statistics, and computer science. My favorite part of Illinois is the incredible people I have met. I have really enjoyed becoming friends with international students; peers and faculty with great academic, occupational, and social-change-driven pursuits; and people who are incredibly grounded in their faiths. I am grateful for the deep and fruitful relationships I am forming here — something I was not expecting to experience at Illinois. I am not exactly sure what my future will look like, and my interests may change as time goes on, but I hope to find a job that combines my academic interests and desire to serve others.
