WIE Orientation
WIE First-Year Orientation is designed to welcome incoming women undergraduates in the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign’s Grainger College of Engineering, Agricultural and Biological Engineering, Chemical Engineering, and CS + X majors, including transfer and international students. Approximately 2/3 of first-year women attend!
At WIE Orientation, first-year women not only get to know each other but also get to know upperclassmen in various Engineering majors. Activities and workshops during Orientation help WIE students adjust to college, gain confidence in their engineering abilities, and form a supportive community.
