As a WIE-GFX Research Scholar, you will develop a foundation of knowledge regarding the details of research. This scholar experience will prepare you for future work as an undergraduate researcher.
You and your cohort of fellow scholars will begin the 1-credit hour course in week 6 of the fall semester. The course provides you with the opportunity to develop research interests, link research to relevant society issues, and connect with professors who may support your research efforts or with coordinators of programs sponsoring undergraduate research.
In the spring semester, you will continue your research connections through monthly meetings that will provide expanded research opportunities.
