I chose bioengineering because it is the perfect combination for me of human connection and healthcare with innovation and engineering. To me, bioengineering is an opportunity to provide others with a happier and healthier life while engaging my passions of math, science, and creating. In a few years, I hope to be working as a bioengineer designing revolutionary surgical processes and medical devices to assist the healthcare professionals that treat patients. I’m excited to be a WIE Ambassador because WIE has helped me greatly to understand more about engineering, and as a female, has given me great role models at Illinois. Therefore, I’m excited to turn the tables as a WIE ambassador now and share my own perspective and experiences as others have shared with me!
