During my sophomore year of high school, my chemistry class was given a project and my group and I decided to make biodiesel. I loved the experience of innovating with a group and applying my chemistry knowledge to a real world issue. Because of this experience, I felt that chemical engineering was the right major for me! My favorite thing I’ve been involved with on campus is Engineering Open House (EOH). I led exhibits on encompassing spherification and modifiable properties of sand. I loved participating in this giant science fair and showing the public the world of STEM and how chemistry can be applied within chemical engineering. I can’t wait to be a part of the next two EOH!
