  2. Major & Why
    1. Parima is studying Engineering Physics with a concentration in computational physics because she enjoys applying computer science and physics together. She chose to study engineering physics because she enjoyed physics in high school and knew it was something she wanted to explore further.
  3. Life at UIUC
    1. Favorites: Parima loves how many opportunities are available to her as a student at UIUC and how there is so much she can try.
    2. Why she chose UIUC: While visiting schools, Parima got a “feeling” that Illinois was the right school for her. She also loved how the engineering physics program had so many different track options and so many different avenues to explore.

  5. Extracurriculars 
    1. Parima is a Learning Assistant for Physics 212 labs and enjoys being able to help students and find ways to improve the labs. She was also a WIE Orientation mentor this year, and will be an Engineering Learning Assistant for Engineering 100 in the upcoming fall 2021 semester.
  6. After Graduation
    1. Parima’s “dream job” is to combine her interests in physics, computer science, and graphic design to work on video games and create graphics that make video game characters follow physics laws.
  7. Advice to Freshmen
    1. Parima’s advice is to talk to people in your classes on the first day so that you have friends and study groups to go to when you need help. She also says to wait until the first week of classes to buy your textbooks.
