I love how applicable Materials Science Engineering is to every aspect of engineering. It’s a great major because it not only allows for exploration of the material property considerations essential to all engineering materials, but it also allows for specialization in different materials based on your interests. One of my favorite ways to share my passion for science and engineering is at Engineering Open House (EOH). During my freshman year, I created an exhibit for a MatSE class, and I loved not only exploring the different exhibits across departments, but also presenting! Outside of class, I enjoy running. It is a great stress reliever and therefore is something I always try to do.
