Meet the Electrical Engineering Mentors!

Steffi Chen (Lead Mentor)

Hi! My name is Steffi, and I’m going to be a junior in Electrical Engineering. On campus, I’m involved with Illini Solar Car, ECE Pulse, and Society of Women Engineers. I will also be an Engineering Learning Assistant for ENG 100 this fall. In my free time, I enjoy making music and working out. I look forward to sharing different opportunities at Illinois and meeting all of you in August!

Jennifer Chen

Hi! My name is Jennifer and I’m going to be a sophomore in electrical engineering. I am also minoring in statistics. On campus, I’m involved with SWE, WECE, and Illinois Consulting Group. In my free time, I like to make friendship bracelets, read (I’m currently rereading the Percy Jackson series), and watch Disney movies. I’m so excited to be a WIE mentor and I can’t wait to meet everyone!

Savannah Pagan

Hi! I’m Savannah, and I’m going to be a sophomore in electrical engineering.  This summer, I’m researching abroad in Puerto Rico to provide disaster relief and resilience by designing systems that will provide clean water, energy, & more.  On campus, I’m involved with MEP, SHPE, and the Illinois Student Government (ISG) as a Grainger senator.  In my free time, I love to read, write (check out my online publication, Out of My Mind), design, watch movies (my favorite is Back to the Future), run, and hang out with my 20 pet chickens when I’m home.  I’m excited to be a WIE mentor and meet everyone in August!
