Meet the Computer Engineering Mentors!

Farzana Haque (Lead Mentor)

Hi, I’m Farzana! I’m originally from NYC but I’ve lived in Spain, Idaho, Texas, and California during college. I’m a senior in computer engineering. During my internships at AMD, Intel, Micron and Qualcomm I’ve discovered a strong interest in hardware (especially CPUs/GPUs) feel free to ask me about it! On campus, I’ve been involved in Out in STEM (an organization for LGBTQ+ students & professionals) and various women in engineering groups (WIMSE, SWE, WECE, and PSR). I’m a big fan of Steven Universe, Pokemon, and Animal Crossing.

Apurva Chanda

Hi everyone! My name is Apurva, and I’m going to be a junior in Computer Engineering. This summer, I’m working as a software engineering intern at a financial company, as well as taking an ECE course. On-campus, I’m an officer for SWE (Society of Women Engineers) for the upcoming school year as well as being a chair for Engineering Council. In my free time, I like to read, listen to music, and bake! I look forward to meeting you all in August 🙂

Lisa Pachikara

Hi! My name is Lisa Pachikara, and I’m going to be a junior in Computer Engineering. Last semester I took part in the Goldman Sachs Engineering Summit which was a month-long program that helped me network within Goldman and improved my coding skills. I went to high school in Santa Barbara, California and I live in Saudi Arabia. On-campus, I am a part of the ECE Student Advancement Committee (ECESAC), IEEE, iRobotics, WECE, and SWE. In my free time, I like to cook, bake, hang out with friends, and watch TV shows. I’m so excited to be a WIE mentor this year and am so excited to meet all of you!

Geitanksha Tandon

Hi everyone! My name is Geitanksha Tandon, and I will be a Sophomore this fall. I’m a Global Engineering Ambassador for this year and I am also a grader for ECE 120, and will hopefully be a CARE Tutor in Fall! On campus, I am a Director for an RSO for students of Indian Origin, and am involved in Women in ECE (WECE). I love to sing, play the piano (albeit terribly) and also love to spend time volunteering with People of Determination (Special Needs). I’m also super organized, so if you need any tips let me know. I look forward to meeting all of you this Fall!
