As an undergrad, Katharine served in various leadership roles in Engineering Students Alumni Ambassadors (ESAA). She performed duties on the Professional Development Committee for the Society of Women Engineers. She was also a member of Materials Advantage.
Since graduation, Katharine has held several positions at AbbVie, a highly focused research-driven biopharmaceutical company. She’s currently a Biopharmaceutical Process Engineer; working on scaling up manufacturing of new products from Research and Development (R&D) to commercial manufacturing. She previously worked in human factors, analytics and engineering.
In the future, Katharine would like to stay within a technical role to gain a deep understanding of AbbVie’s manufacturing processes and products standards. She then hopes to move to operations management.
In her free time, Katharine enjoys traveling internationally, hiking and other outdoor activities.
