Kara Brockamp

Graduated 2019

Graduate Kara Brockamp loves that her major in agricultural & biological engineering allows her to study within both the College of ACES and The Grainger College of Engineering.

“I have taken classes in mechanical engineering, civil engineering, electrical engineering, and computer science,” Brockamp said. “Then I get to use my ABE classes to figure out how to apply everything to agriculture.”

She served as an Agriculture Future of America (AFA) campus ambassador for 2018-2019. Ambassadors act as liaisons between AFA and their respective campuses by promoting AFA to peers, faculty, and industry professionals. She is also an ACES Jonathan Baldwin Turner Scholar and participates in the program by serving as a JBT Ambassador.

Some of the other titles of service on her impressive list include Courses and Curricula Co-Chair for ACES Council and ACES Council Representative for the American Society of Agricultural and Biological Engineers student branch, as well as Vice President, President, and House Manager of the 4-H House Cooperative Sorority.
