Jessica was a WIE ambassador during her time at Illinois. She said that being a part of the program allowed her to meet prospective and admitted students while sharing with them all the great opportunities at Illinois. Now a recent graduate, Jessica works in the Clinical Trial Operations Development Program at AbbVie, a two year rotational program.
As a student at Illinois, Jessica shared the following insights into college:
“Many people have helped me throughout my college journey, so I enjoy having the opportunity to do the same for future students! For two years I was an Engineering Learning Assistant (ELA) and taught Engineering Orientation to the incoming freshmen. This was an invaluable position for me because I developed my own leadership skills while getting to know and help the newest members of our University. As an ELA, I also got the opportunity to travel abroad. This immersive experience was absolutely unforgettable, and it helped me and my fellow ELAs improve and develop meaningful curriculum guides.”
