Girls who are entering 9th through 12 grades in Fall 2019 (those graduating during 2020-2023) are eligible to apply for the over-night camps. Girls who are entering 7th and 8th grades in Fall 2019 are eligible for the Mid-GLAM day-camp. Specifically for this camp, it is best if you are local to campus due to it only being a day-camp.  Applicants should have demonstrated an interest in math and science through academic achievements and a strong commitment to developing their abilities in math and science.  Some camps may have pre-requisite courses; please check the pre-requisites for your camp of interest in the detailed section of each track option.

All GAMES camps take place on the University of Illinois college campus in Urbana-Champaign.website11 Campers will stay with live-in female camp counselors in certified-private student housing on the university campus. Most projects and demonstrations will be conducted in University of Illinois campus buildings, though some camps include field trips to off-site locations.  Many evening activities take place on the UIUC campus, though some may be held in other locations in Urbana-Champaign nearby campus.

GAMES Camp is during the months of June and July, for one week only. Please look on the original information page for the specific camp dates.

My daughter does not live in Illinois. Are there other girls from out-of-state? (**This does not apply for the mid-GLAM camp**)

While many of our campers are from Illinois, we are seeing more and more out-of-state campers every year! Last year alone, we had campers from Georgia, New York, Texas, California, and even China and India! The GAMES Administrative Staff will be happy to assist with the logistics of traveling as needed. While you are responsible for getting your daughter to and from Champaign, we will assist in picking her up/dropping her off at the airport or train/bus station if needed. If you would need assistance with arriving to camp, once registered there will be a Travel Form that needs to be completed to guarantee and ensure safe camper arrival.

Will my daughter be safe at GAMES?

At GAMES we keep our staff-to-camper ratios small (typically 1:8). While we want to give your daughter the “college experience”, we aim to ensure that your daughters are in small groups and cared for at all times. That means that your daughter will never be on or off campus without at least one GAMES counselor or staff member.

Is my daughter ready to go to GAMES?

This is a question you must discuss with your daughter. Each teenager is different, and as a parent, you know your daughter best. Please check out www.campparents.org for more information to help guide your decision.

Where is the GAMES Parent Page?

You can find the GAMES Parent Page by going here! It is password protected, you can find the password to the page in your Parent Packet.

Does GAMES receive external support or donations?
