Hi everyone! My name is Erika Jaszka, and I’m an Environmental Engineering major with a minor in the Hoeft Technology & Management Program. I’m from Arlington Heights, and in my free time I like to read and travel. I’m involved with the Society of Women Engineers, Alpha Omega Epsilon Engineering Sorority, and Illini Chaarg Fitness Group here on campus. My dream job would be to work in industry as an Environmental/ Sustainability Director or similar role. I knew I wanted to be a part of WIE after attending the WIE freshman orientation where I met some of my closest friends and learned of all of the resources and opportunities that UIUC has to offer. This experience inspired me to be a WIE Mentor for the orientation during my sophomore and junior years where I further developed my love and appreciation for WIE, and now I’m excited to contribute to the WIE community as a WIE Ambassador!
