ISE Professor Alexandra Chronopoulou came to Illinois because of its many opportunities. She received her Ph.D. from Purdue University and did post-doctorate work in France before becoming a professor in California.
Chronopoulou teaches classes on financial engineering for grad students as well as a quality engineering class for undergrads. She is currently working on a few research projects, including topics such as statistical interference for customer choice models.
“When you do research on something, you’re better at teaching it because you know the big picture,” Chronopoulou said.
