Hi I’m Mariana! I’m a junior from Venezuela. I’m excited to be a WIE Ambassador because I want to share my journey to Illinois and inspire prospective women students making decisions about colleges and majors. The best part about being a Grainger engineer is that you get to design your own path, especially with the Systems and Design program. The resources available to students at this university are one of a kind! My favorites being CARE tutoring (come say hi!) and everyone involved in WIE. I love being creative and using my technical background to tackle real world problems, that’s why I’m doing my Secondary Field in Industrial Design. When I’m not in class I enjoy running and taking walks in nature. I also adore photography and fashion, especially when I get inspired by different cultures and people while exploring places around the world.
