Growing up, one of my favorite toys was Lincoln Logs and that’s where my love for building started. I’ve really enjoyed the construction aspect and the hands-on work that I’ve done on mission trips, so I decided to major in CEE. I love how many opportunities are available in the CEE department; I’m able to pursue both my love for building and construction and my passion for the environment. One of the most exciting things about Illinois is the opportunity to get involved on campus and in the community. After graduation and before I start working, I’m going on a mission trip to Tanzania to build classrooms and teach English.
