Elizabeth was an active member of WIE during her time at Illinois. From being a WIE orientation mentor to leading orientation as a student coordinator for two years, she found her passion in helping students through higher education. Now, Elizabeth is pursuing her Masters in Higher Education at the University of Michigan.

During her time at Illinois, Elizabeth remarked the following about engineering and her involvement:

When I was younger, I attended multiple engineering camps at UIUC (GAMES camp) and saw how cool engineering was! When my mom was diagnosed with cancer I saw how important innovative medicine was in her recovery. I realized that I could help prevent people from experiencing what my mom went through by pursuing a career in the pharmaceutical industry through Chemical Engineering. I am so excited to work in higher education in student programming, such as Women in Engineering. I have been inspired to pursue this because of the wonderful experiences I’ve had at Illinois Engineering and cannot wait to help future engineers find their passion.
